One of the best benefits of the net(among many) for me is getting to buy magazines online…

I am utterly devoted to the written word, and just as respectful of the online written word, as a person invested in the technical world, as one who religiously enhances her knowledge of freelance writing technique(s), for improving my nonfiction craft, for evolving as a contemporary off- and online writer, and as one who is a lifetime learner.  So one of the best benefits of the net(among many) for me is getting to buy magazines online, subscribing to a technical journal or newsletter or whatever else contributes to my repertoire.

Another great company is  Zinio.com. Search inside 10,000 of the world’s magazines.  They are  magazine “Experts” with great selection…..

Getting your magazine subscriptions via the worldwide web…

There are external benefits, too, to buying magazines online, those that prevent you from having to deal with a pushy telemarketer, or a surly, snotty-nosed brick-and-mortar store clerk.Okay, so I extol the virtues of the ezine, of getting your magazine subscriptions via the worldwide web….You have the right to a well defined list of billing policies and procedures, regarding the duration of the magazine subscription, regarding the number of issues in one subscription, regarding your cancellation rights. After you are a subscriber: You have the right to check the expiration date (on your magazine subscription label) and the subsequent right to reject an offer to renew which is made not by the magazine but by an unrelated, unaffiliated company scamming you for extra cash.

Entertainment, self-help, fashion, news, and hundreds of other subject….

That is when I buy magazines online I know I am not limited to getting work materials, not limited to that which is technical.  Entertainment, self-help, fashion, news, and hundreds of other subject areas make for great reading (reading that you don’t have to study), as does online literature and as do humor columns and articles, blogs, and other brilliant music, art, and cultural publications.

Where To Find Gifts For Dad?

Everyone needs socks at some point…

I think one of the most typical and boring gifts for dad has to be socks. Why are socks one of the first things to pop into one’s mind? I think it must be some strange psychological glitch. Somehow the words gifts for dad triggers the response of: socks. It really makes no sense at all, because EVERYONE needs socks at some point, but do you actually choose them as gifts? No, not unless the person is dad himself. Could it be something that happened in childhood that has forever doomed out poor fathers to gift after gift of any sordid variety of socks? Is it something he said perhaps? Whatever it is, it’s a very strange phenomenon.

Finding and selecting gifts for dad can definitely be a challenge..You can try find something interesting on Shop the National Geographic Store. All purchases support research and education. They have a great selection for gifts or presents.

One of the most difficult people to buy for can be your dad. It’s really hard to think of something to buy for a guy who has already lived more than half of his life, and already bought most of his toys during a likely misspent youth. Finding and selecting gifts for dad can definitely be a challenge.

So, what are some good ideas for suitable, usable and even wanted gifts for dad? Many people say to buy him toys, gadgets…. anything technologically inclined. I personally don’t know if I agree. I know that my own father loves this sort of thing, however, I could never afford to buy him the brand name gadgets that catch his eye. For some reason dad must need another set of tools…

I have spent a good deal of time trying to dream up the very best gifts for dad. For some reason the second place our minds want to go seems to be: tools. For some reason dad must need another set of tools. A ratchet set perhaps? Or how about a nice new drill? He may not be doing ANY home renovations or special projects at all. In fact, he may have given up on that nonsense years ago, and yet somehow we think some sort of tool is up there on the top ten list of gifts for dad. The top ten crappy gifts perhaps!!
